What is Camp Foxfire?

Camp Foxfire at Northwest Park offers children an unforgettable summer filled with active, hands-on exploration in nature. Through engaging field-based activities, campers develop a deep appreciation for the environment while learning essential skills that cultivate effective problem solvers, lifelong learners, and thoughtful community leaders and participants. Our programs are designed to nurture each child’s curiosity and foster a sense of wonder in the great outdoors.

Campers explore our 473-acre park through a variety of exciting experiences: hiking scenic trails, encountering live animals, searching for hidden creatures under logs, investigating aquatic life in the pond, playing nature-themed games, and crafting artistic creations from natural materials. As campers grow older, they’ll embark on even greater adventures, such as off-site day trips, canoeing on Rainbow Reservoir, or participating in hands-on ecology workshops which enhance the weekly themes and deepen their connection with nature.

At Camp Foxfire, we prioritize providing an exceptional experience for our community while ensuring a fun-filled, enriching, and safe summer for all participants. Our committed team stays informed of best practices, so you can trust that your child will enjoy a memorable, engaging, and secure summer filled with adventure and growth.
