The Friends of Northwest Park is a non-profit organization that supports all the Park does by holding fundraising events, sponsoring programming, and encouraging donations, memberships, and volunteering.  

Volunteers are always needed — whether for a few hours here and there or a few hours each month.

FONWP Organizational Support

Help with the “business” side of things:

  • Trustees (meet monthly)
  • Finance Committee
  • Marketing/Data
  • Publication Editing
  • Membership Committee
  • Volunteer Coordination

Events

Assist with event planning and day-of activities such as:

  • Pancake Breakfast (March): organizing, setup, ticket taking, food service, cleanup
  • Concert Hospitality: welcoming guests and supporting event logistics

Programs

Support Friends-sponsored Park programs as needed (typically a few hours on a single day):

  • Signing in participants
  • Introducing presenters
  • Providing general hospitality and assistance

Community Events

Represent Northwest Park at community events such as:

  • Shad Derby (May)
  • Other local events as they arise

    Activities include talking with attendees about Northwest Park and encouraging membership
